Jesus fucking Christ this is such a bullshit diary. Post something mildly inflammatory and we get over 900 - seriously: nine hundred! - goddamned comments AND people have and are recommending it!

Is there an emotion icon for "aghast"?

How meta-navel-gazing can we get? Look, let me tell you some (four) things:

1+1=3

Where's Conan when you need him? If THEY made it...
Thursday's Morning Edition had the latest on the right-wingers thinking that 1+1=3:

The Food and Drug Administration has until the end of this month to decide whether to allow emergency contraception -- the so-called morning-after pill -- to be sold without a prescription. Critics of the medication say it causes very early abortions; the FDA classifies it as a contraceptive that prevents pregnancy.

So this sounds great, right? Women who've been raped or made a mistake or who just have that funny feeling will be able to get access to contraceptive within that first 72-hour window. No hassling with doctors' golf outings to get your prescription, leading to less unplanned pregnancy and less abortion.

So it comes as absolutely no surprise that the American Taliban thinks it's a bad idea. An "early abortion" even.

And what do they do when they don't like something? We all know the drill by now: bad science, and, in this case, bad math.
