Does this sound shady or what? First, there's a Dominion Virginia Power/pollution angle (side note: is there anything bad in Virginia that Dominion is NOT involved with?!?):

This evening, DNC Chairman Howard Dean was on NPR discussing the Clinton-Obama contest. Here are some highlights of the interview with Robert Siegel.

Jim Webb at Colorado JJ Dinner
Sat Mar 01, 2008 at 04:54:31 AM PDT
Thanks to my good friend Stan Davis for the following report from yesterday's Colorado JJ Dinner festivities.
Sen. Jim Webb was the keynote speaker at Friday's statewide Jefferson-Jackson Dinner. Earlier in the day, Webb and CD-2 (Boulder) Congressman and Senate candidate met with a group of veterans.
More on the "flip."
SD Senate: Tim Johnson 70%-Steve Kirby 19%
Fri Feb 29, 2008 at 09:19:54 AM PDT
A new poll by the DSCC has Sen. Tim Johnson (D-SD) leading potential challenger Steve Kirby 70%-19%. That's right, that's a 51-point lead. As if that's not good enough, Sen. Johnson's net favorable rating is an amazing +67 (79%-12%). Is there any incumbent Democrat in the country with higher favorables than that? In other words, god help any Republican thinking of challenging Tim Johnson this year.
Speaking of Republicans thinking of challenging Tim Johnson this year, check out the new DSCC site on Steve Kirby, known as the "single biggest jobs exporter in South Dakota history." Also, enjoy the videos about Steve Kirby on the flip!

Wed Feb 06, 2008 at 03:47:55 AM PDT
Which pollsters did the best and who did the worst on Tsunami Tuesday? Let's go state by state in cases where there was significant polling (source is Real Clear Politics, a great resource by the way):
Alabama
Results: Obama +14
Nobody really came close here, but Insider Advantage and SurveyUSA each had it Obama +2 in their last polls.
Webb "becomes more intriguing all the time"
Tue Jan 29, 2008 at 10:09:12 AM PDT
I received a copy of this month's Washingtonian article on Jim Webb, entitled "No More Combat Boots." It's a very interesting article (not online, unfortunately), including insights into how the "maverick Jim Webb has turned out to be more of a savvy operator than expected." As Webb confidently says, "I know how to make decisions and I know how to lead."
10,000+ People at Obama Rally! (w/pics)
Mon Jan 28, 2008 at 11:24:41 AM PDT
Today was the rally for Barack Obama with Caroline Kennedy and Sen. Ted. Kennedy at American University's Bender Arena. The good news is that the 6,000-seat arena, plus overflow areas, were both packed. The bad news is that thousands of people -- a line stretching way down the street, around the corner, etc. -- couldn't get in. All told, there must have been 10,000 people there today, waiting for hours, who WANTED to see Barack Obama. I heard that some AU students even camped out overnight. Truly amazing.
P.S. I should never listen to a certain "friend" who told me that getting there at 8:30 am would be too early. Or should I say "former friend?!?" Ha. :)

Bill and Hillary Were a "Co-Presidency?"

Apparently, with the caucuses and primaries about to begin, Bill and Hillary Clinton have shifted tactics and are now claiming that the two of them constituted a 'co-presidency" during the 1990s.
